The Vogues to Perform at Kean Theatre on Aug. 19
Proceeds benefit St. Barnabas Free Care Fund

Gibsonia, Pa. - June 28, 2006 - Pittsburgh-based Oldies band The Vogues will perform at the Kean Theatre at 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19. The theatre is located inside The Washington Place at 5847 Meridian Road. Tickets are $29 for general admission or $35 for Director's Circle seating, available by calling 724-444-KEAN (5326) or by visiting www.keantheatre.com. Proceeds benefit the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund.

The Vogues are performing at the Kean for the fourth straight year. Last year's concert was sold out, so those interested in attending are encouraged to buy their tickets early. Through eras of sound and passing fads of fancy, The Vogues have been a constant, attracting sellout audiences at concert and club appearances. The Vogues got their start in 1958 as students at Turtle Creek High School. Well-received locally, they soon were thrust into the spotlight when their early recording, "You're the One," gained national airplay. Between 1965 and 1969, the Vogues had 14 hits, four of which made it to the Top 10. Oldies fans will recognize "Turn Around Look at Me," "5 O'Clock World," "My Special Angel," "Till," "No Not Much," "Magic Town," "Woman Helping Man," and "Land of Milk and Honey." The Kean Theatre's intimate setting guarantees each audience member the chance to see these spectacular performers up close.

The Vogues is sponsored by UPMC Health Plan, an Oscar-level sponsor of the Kean Theatre; NexTier is an Emmy-level sponsor; Armstrong and 3WS are Grammy-level sponsors; and Tom Henry Chevrolet is the Box Office sponsor of the Kean Theatre.

The Kean Theatre is open to the public and has built a reputation for its convenient location, free parking, quality entertainment and elegant setting. The theatre is operated by St. Barnabas Charities, the fund-raising arm of St. Barnabas Health System. The Health System also includes St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas, The Arbors at St. Barnabas, The Village at St. Barnabas, The Woodlands at St. Barnabas, The Washington Place at St. Barnabas, and St. Barnabas Medical Center. Theatre proceeds benefit the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund.
