Jimmy Beaumont and The Skyliners to Perform at Kean Theatre

Gibsonia, Pa. - Feb. 1, 2007 - Making their fifth appearance, Jimmy Beaumont and the Skyliners will perform a special Valentine's Day concert at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 at the Kean Theatre, 5847 Meridian Road. Tickets are $32 or $38 each for the 8 p.m. curtain. An optional dinner theatre will begin seating at 6 p.m. Cost for dinner and a show is $48 or $54. Lead singer Jimmy Beaumont long ago achieved his hope for The Skyliners to be remembered as one of the best harmony groups of all time. With an honor roll of hits that includes "Since I Don't Have You," "When I Fall in Love," "Pennies From Heaven," "Where Have They Gone," "Comes Love," and many others, it is no wonder that The Skyliners have been on the national hit charts for four decades. The Kean Theatre's intimate 350-seat setting guarantees each audience member the chance to see this distinguished band up close.

The Skyliners trace their history back to 1958 in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. Today, the band is comprised of original lead vocalist Jimmy Beaumont, bass and baritone singer Nick Pociask, female lead vocalist Donna Groom, and second tenor Dick Muse.

Jimmy Beaumont and the Skyliners is sponsored by UPMC Health Plan, an Oscar-level sponsor of the Kean Theatre; NexTier Bank and North Pittsburgh Telephone Company are Grammy-level sponsors. Upcoming performances at the Kean include "Murder Most Fowl 2" dinner theatre on Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17; and "Private Lives," play by Noel Coward on Friday, April 13 and Saturday, April 14; and Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 21.

The Kean Theatre is open to the public and has built a reputation for its convenient location, free parking, quality entertainment and elegant setting. The theatre is operated by St. Barnabas Charities, the fund-raising arm of St. Barnabas Health System. The Health System also includes St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas, The Arbors at St. Barnabas, The Village at St. Barnabas, The Woodlands at St. Barnabas, The Washington Place at St. Barnabas, and St. Barnabas Medical Center. Theatre proceeds benefit the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund.
