The Medicine ShoppeŽ to Open at The Village at St. Barnabas
Gibsonia, Pa. - Oct. 19, 2006 - St. Barnabas Communities and The Medicine Shoppe have partnered together to bring a full-service pharmacy to The Village at St. Barnabas, 5850 Meridian Road, Gibsonia. The pharmacy will open on Oct. 25 with a grand opening celebration complete with refreshments, discounts, raffles and prize giveaways slated for the week of Dec. 11.
The convenience of the on-site Medicine ShoppeŽ pharmacy will be available to residents of all three St. Barnabas communities, the employees of St. Barnabas Health System, as well as patients of St. Barnabas Medical Center. "We are pleased to bring such a vital service to our residents and employees," stated Douglas W. Day, President of St. Barnabas Communities. "The Medicine Shoppe is a quality operation and the right fit for our needs - we look forward to a long-term partnership."
The Village is one of three St. Barnabas Communities for independent retirees operated by St. Barnabas Health System. Residents enjoy an indoor mall that includes a pub, a restaurant, full-service bank, jeweler, an auditorium, post office, library, hair salon, chapel, gift shop, convenience store and the newest amenity - a full-service pharmacy. In addition to The Village at St. Barnabas, the St. Barnabas Communities include The Washington Place at St. Barnabas, a 23-unit apartment building for retirees who can live independently with the help of hospitality hostesses, and The Woodlands at St. Barnabas, a neighborhood of one-level carriage homes. St. Barnabas Communities residents also have access to the Kean Theatre, located in The Washington Place. Residents can enjoy top-notch plays, musicals, concerts and movies in the elegantly appointed theatre.
