St. Barnabas to Host Parkinson's Support Group
New group added to northern suburbs
Gibsonia, Pa. - March 16, 2006 - St. Barnabas will be the host location for a new
Parkinson's Support Group that will meet at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28 at Valencia Woods at St.
Barnabas, 85 Charity Place, Valencia. Dr. Gregory Dischman, a physician at The Arbors and Valencia
Woods at St. Barnabas, will be the guest speaker. Dr. Dischman's discussion points will include:
- Symptoms of Parkinson's Disease
- Progression of the disease
- Treatment options
"This is great news for individuals and family member dealing with Parkinson's disease in the North Hills
area," said David Von Hofen, director of programs and outreach with the Parkinson Chapter of Greater
Pittsburgh. "There has been a need for a group for some time and it is wonderful that St. Barnabas has
stepped forward." The free and confidential support group will be held at 2 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of
each month and is open to residents of St. Barnabas as well as the community. For more information or to
