Original Murder Mystery Coming to the Kean Theatre
'Hot Gun in the Summertime' is creation of Kean's own Tom Madden
Gibsonia, Pa. - May 11, 2009 - "Hot Gun in the Summertime," the latest installment in the Kean Theatre's wacky and popular murder mystery dinner theatre, will be presented at 7 p.m. Friday, May 22 and 1 and 7 p.m. Saturday, May 23 at the Mount Vernon Restaurant adjacent to the Kean Theatre in The Washington Place, 5847 Meridian Road.
Audience members will kick back to the Summer of Love, bell bottoms and flower power. The sensational group, the Bed Bugs, is having a record launch for their newest album at the Kean and everyone who is anyone will be there. But, wait! Someone is murdered and the list of suspects is long. Is it one of the band members? Or is it that person sitting next to you? Audience members are encouraged to dress in their favorite '60s attire to come see whodunit.
"Hot Gun in the Summertime" is written and directed by Tom Madden, the Managing Director of the Kean Theatre. Madden, who has more than 25 years of experience in front of and behind the curtain, has created, written and directed all eight installments in the Kean's "Murder Most Fowl" murder mystery series. Performing in "Hot Gun in the Summertime" will be many of the Kean Theatre's regular actors. As is the tradition with murder mysteries, the audience will be encouraged to participate.
The cost for "Hot Gun in the Summertime" is $33 per ticket, which includes dinner and the show. To order, call 724-444-5326 or visit www.keantheatre.com.
