The Fabulous Hubcaps to Perform at Kean Theatre
Concert is part of Summer of Fun Oldies series

Gibsonia, Pa. - June 16, 2005 - One of the nation's most sought after oldies bands, The Fabulous Hubcaps, will appear in concert at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 9 at the Kean Theatre, 5847 Meridian Road. Tickets are $39 for general admission or $45 for Director's Circle seating. Tickets are available by calling (724) 444-KEAN (5326) or by visiting www.keantheatre.com. Proceeds benefit the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund.

The Hubcaps consist of seven lead vocalists who are proficient on a number of instruments. The band's self-contained act includes lights, costumes and a high-energy mix of tunes that will take you back to the days of duck tails, white t-shirts, and rock-n-roll. The Hubcaps make audiences come alive performing medleys by artists such as Little Richard, James Brown, The Beach Boys, Bo Diddley, Freddie Cannon, The Marcels, The Drifters, The Coasters and Elvis. To keep in tune with the band's '50s repertoire, the audience is invited to wear poodle skirts, bobby sox, and rolled-up jeans. With just 350 seats, all audience members have a good view of the performance.

Other performances in the Kean Theatre's Summer of Fun Oldies series include The Grass Roots on June 18; Jimmy Beaumont & The Skyliners on June 25; The Fabulous Hubcaps on July 9; Johnny Angel and the Halos on July 30; The Fantasys on Aug. 13 and Pure Gold on Aug. 27. The Summer of Fun Oldies Series is made possible through Grammy sponsors Armstrong and 3WS, Tony sponsors Mars National Bank, Pepsi, North Pittsburgh Telephone Company and Northern Connection Magazine, Golden Globe sponsors DRS Architects and Pepsi, and box office sponsor Tom Henry Chevrolet.

The Kean Theatre is open to the public and has built a reputation for its convenient location, free parking, quality entertainment and elegant setting.
