Tickets Available to St. Barnabas' Founder's Day 2006
Annual event features Newt Gingrich as guest speaker, Hance Award recipient

Gibsonia, Pa. - Jan. 20, 2006 - Tickets are available for St. Barnabas Charities' Founder's Day 2006 celebration featuring Newt Gingrich as the guest speaker and recipient of St. Barnabas' Hance Award, named for St. Barnabas founder Gouverneur P. Hance.

Gingrich is well-known as the architect of the "Contract with America" that led the Republican Party to victory in 1994 by capturing the majority in the U.S. House for the first time in 40 years. After he was elected Speaker in 1995, he disrupted the status quo by moving power out of Washington and back to the American people. Under his leadership, Congress passed welfare reform, the first balanced budget in a generation, and the first tax cut in 16 years. Today, he is the author of nine books, chairman of the Gingrich Group, and a news and political analyst for Fox News Channel.

Tickets are $250 each to Founder's Day 2006 and are available by calling (724) 443-0700, Ext. 258 or by visiting www.stbarnabashealthsystem.com. Proceeds from Founder's Day 2006 will benefit the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund. In 2005 alone, the Free Care Fund provided more than $6.29 million to patients at St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas Nursing and The Arbors at St. Barnabas Nursing who would not otherwise be able to afford their care.
