St. Barnabas Charities Fashion Gala is Saturday, Oct. 22
Gibsonia, Pa. (Richland Township), Oct. 10, 2005 - St. Barnabas Charities will host its annual fashion gala and luncheon on Saturday, Oct. 22 at The Washington Place and the Kean Theatre, 5847 Meridian Road. Following the theme "Join Us on the Red Carpet," guests will be treated to complimentary services, a gourmet lunch complete with a chocolate fountain, unique shopping and a fashion show featuring local celebrities. Doors open at 11 a.m. for lunch and shopping, followed by the fashion show at 2 p.m.
Serving as mistress of ceremonies for "Join Us on the Red Carpet" will be Newlin Archinal of WPXI-TV. Tickets are $32, available by calling 724-444-5521 or by visiting www.stbarnabashealthsystem.com. Proceeds will benefit the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund, which in 2004 alone provided $5.76 million to patients at St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas and The Arbors at St. Barnabas who otherwise would not be able to afford their care.
Among the complimentary services available will be a psychic, a hypnotist, makeover artists, and manicurists. Guests can get a start on their holiday shopping or simply treat themselves to something special at tables set up by 33 vendors. Among the goods the vendors will offer are handmade handbags, designer copies of handbags, unique jewelry, fashion accessories, gourmet foods, candles and more. Additionally, guests will be able to purchase tickets for a chance to win nearly 20 themed raffle baskets, worth at least $200 each.
