SPEAKERS ANNOUNCED FOR ST. BARNABAS CEO LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
General Michael V. Hayden will lead line-up of speakers at Sept. 20 event


Gibsonia, Pa. - June 8, 2010 - The military's impact upon business in the region will be the topic of the 24th annual St. Barnabas CEO Leadership Conference on Monday, Sept. 20 at the Kean Theatre in The Washington Place at St. Barnabas, 5847 Meridian Road. "The Military Means Business" is open by invitation to area CEOs and their seconds-in-command. The annual conference provides a forum for the Pittsburgh region's top business leaders to come together and hear firsthand about timely topics from renowned experts.

Speaking at the conference will be:

  • General Michael V. Hayden - Former director of the CIA and National Security Agency
  • Admiral Jonathan W. Greenert - Vice Chief of Naval Operations, U.S. Navy
  • General Robert C. Oaks, Ret. - Commander in Chief, U.S. Air Force in Europe and NATO in Central Europe
  • Major General Harold G. Bunch - Assistant Deputy Commanding General, Army Materiel Command for Reserve Affairs, U.S. Army
  • Major General Tom Jones, Ret. - U.S. Marine Corps. Founder and president, Outdoor Odyssey, a youth leadership academy
  • Dr. Schuyler Foerster, Ret. - Colonel, U.S. Air Force. Professor of National Security Studies at USAF Academy
  • Congressman Tim Murphy - Lt. Commander, U.S. Navy Reserve Medical Corps; U.S. Representative for the 18th District of Pennsylvania

Also participating in the conference will be Channel 11 News anchor David Johnson as conference moderator and former Allegheny County chief executive Jim Roddey as panel moderator. The day's activities will begin with registration and a light breakfast at 7 a.m., followed by the half-day conference at 8 a.m. At the conclusion of the conference, Smart Business Pittsburgh will present its annual Pacesetters awards recognizing business leaders who are setting the pace for the region. A complimentary luncheon will follow in The Washington Place's Mount Vernon Restaurant.
