St. Barnabas Medical Center Announces Committee for 16th Annual 5K Run/Walk
Gibsonia, Pa. - May 17, 2007 - St. Barnabas Medical Center has announced the committee for its 16th annual 5K run/walk. The community race committee presents an opportunity for local businesses to assist with the planning and preparation of the popular North Hills event. TRACO is the event sponsor and UPMC Health Plan is the course sponsor of the St. Barnabas Medical Center 5K Run/Walk.
In addition to recruiting sponsors and product donations, committee members serve as volunteers on race day and promote the 5K. The committee members are:

Proceeds from the 16th annual St. Barnabas Medical Center 5K Run/Walk will benefit the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund, which supports patients at St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas and The Arbors at St. Barnabas who otherwise would not be able to afford their care. In 2006 alone, the Free Care Fund provided more than $5.84 million to patients.
