Ryan Gleason Wins St. Barnabas Medical Center 5K
Gibsonia, Pa. - Aug. 6, 2005 - Ryan Gleason, 23 of Bryn Mawr won the 14th annual
St. Barnabas Medical Center 5K, Aug. 6, 2005 with a time of 15:18. Capturing first place in the
women's division was Candice Coholich, 19, of Hampton Twp. with a time of 19:22.
The race, held along Meridian Road, was co-sponsored by TRACO. Proceeds from the 5K benefit the St.
Barnabas Free Care Fund, which assists patients at St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Valencia Woods at St.
Barnabas and The Arbors at St. Barnabas who otherwise would not be able to afford their care. Activities
at the race included a performance by country and rock band The Shelly Duff band, an awards ceremony hosted by
Shelley Duffy of KDKA Radio and Gordon Loesch of WPXI-TV, food and beverages, and prize giveaways.
Both overall winners were crowned with Olympic-tradition laurel wreaths and presented with etched glass
trophies. Gleason and Coholich were among the 672 fellow runners and walkers who participated in the
event.
The second place overall male finisher was Kevin Doyle, 25, of Butler. Kevin's time was 15:25.
Third place was Lucas Zarzeczny, 16, of Ohio Twp. with a time of 15:33. The second place overall
female finisher was Erika Pezich, 16, of Allison Park with a time of 20:05. The third place overall
female finisher was Leslie Kramer, 28, of Slippery Rock with a time of 20:06. All received trophies for
their accomplishments.
Eighty-four more trophies were given to the top three winners in the 14 age categories in the men's and
