HospiceCompassion, Comfort and Care. Providing high-quality, compassionate care for end-of-life patients and their families. St. Barnabas Hospice is available seven days a week, 24 hours a day at St. Barnabas or in the privacy of the home.Offering Compassion.The hospice staff will provide the highest level of care in the most compassionate ways
available. A nurse will meet with each family to discuss specific physical, emotional and
spiritual needs, then work with an interdisciplinary team to develop a care plan to make sure
that each patient's final days are spent with dignity and peace. Delivering Comfort.Hospice services are offered to patients in the comfort of their own home, hospital or one of
St. Barnabas' skilled nursing facilities. St. Barnabas Hospice includes: Providing Care.Members of the team will also visit regularly to make sure family members are comfortable
with the care they are providing. And nursing assistance is just a phone call away as staff
is available at any time, 24 hours a day, to answer questions and counsel family members as
needed. Volunteering.Volunteers are sought by St. Barnabas Hospice to make a difference in the lives of terminally ill patients and their families. Volunteers can give as little or as much time as is suitable for their personal situation. Volunteers are needed to support families through such services as friendly visits, light housekeeping and errands. There are also volunteer opportunities for clerical duties in the office.
