Residents of The Arbors at St. Barnabas have access to nursing staff daily. Care attendants are on duty around the clock. Residents have access to a choice of physicians who make rounds regularly. Rehab therapy is an important part of many residents' stay; The Arbors is proud to employ an experienced and compassionate team of physical, occupational and speech therapists.
Based on the needs, each resident is assigned to one of four levels of care. Care levels range from basic supervision to extensive assistance and monitoring of many age-related conditions and disorders. Assistance is readily available for the activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming and bathing. As needed, care attendants help residents transfer from bed to chair, and from sitting to standing. Mobility assistance is provided to enable residents to get from place to place within their new home. Oxygen monitoring, incontinence care, and regular safety checks for individuals with memory impairments are provided. Residents are encouraged to be as physically active as possible through our daily exercise classes or walks on our beautiful grounds.
Should a resident need skilled nursing care, it is available at Valencia Woods, which is in the same building as The Arbors, or at St. Barnabas Nursing Home on our Gibsonia campus. The Arbors and Valencia Woods are part of St. Barnabas Health System, a trusted name in health care for more than a century.
